Summary
As the first complex market of Huaxia Sunshine in Hangzhou, the commercial value and location advantages of Heart of Huaxia are self-evident. FORCITIS, as the facade consultant of Heart of Huaxia, designed the facade of the building from the existing terrain conditions and urban space on the premise of following the principles of integrity, times and openness, and also paid attention to extending the expression for the building.

Location value
Heart of Huaxia is positioned as the core landmark city complex of Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City CBD, which integrates commerce, office, hotel and residence. The total area of the project is about 370,000㎡, and its formats include commerce, luxury hotels, hardcover residences, high-grade office buildings and humanized design communities. Surrounding the project, the double subway lines, complete living facilities and focus on a better living circle provide convenience for people's lives.

Facade highlights
With petals flying and vines as the theme, it continues the concept of podium DIA. LED lights are used to surround the whole tower in the shape of vines curled up into trees, and combined with the oblique lines of the facade of the tower, it is like continuing the blooming light of podium main DIA. Layering of plane outline is used, and the advance and retreat relationship of each floor is clear, which makes the whole tower full of three-dimensional sense.
The patterns of perforated plates and colored glazes are designed around the theme, and the concept of petals flying is adopted, which makes the dynamic patterns dance on the whole building facade, echoing the concepts of "vine" and "growth" of the tower, and bringing vitality to the stable building volume. The design of natural elements is also added to each part of the building, which adds interest and harmony. Whenever the sun shines, it will cast mottled tree shadows, making pedestrians feel like they are in the woods.
It has been involved since the initial stage of the scheme of the project, and the design cycle is long. Intervention in the initial stage can provide reference suggestions to the owners, design institutes and scheme companies for areas that cannot meet the requirements of facade implementation, in order to avoid repeated modifications in the deepening design stage in the future.
There are two special-shaped folded perforated aluminum plates at the north and south main entrances of the podium building, which are complex in shape, large in span and complex in supporting conditions, and interfere with the main structure, glass facade and daylighting roof of the podium building respectively. To control the facade modeling, CAD spatial modeling is adopted to adjust the scheme modeling, and several rounds of communication are carried out with the owner and the scheme company to fine-tune the modeling to ensure the scheme implementation. In the later stage, we docked with the Civil Engineering Design Institute, and provided the fulcrum plane positioning, the most unfavorable reaction value, the adjusted structural sideline and funds for the design institute to review. Due to the existence of exhaust equipment and gutter on the top of the podium building, the fulcrum needs to be shifted. After carrying out communication with the design institute and make adjustment, the fulcrum positioning is determined, and the column pier is designed by civil engineering for the steel column for fixing.
Due to the different angles between adjacent surfaces of folded plate structure, such as rectangular pipe section and C-shaped purlin section, the torsion problem of adjacent secondary keels will be caused, and the field construction is cumbersome. Thus, hot-rolled round steel pipe is used as the stress component, and intersecting welding and welded ball joints are used for joint connection. In the drawing, three-dimensional positioning is adopted to control the facade modeling, and the coordinates of axis intersection points and aluminum plate modeling control points are provided to ensure the smooth implementation of the scheme.
Glass facade of the tower of the project should be the aluminum alloy steel pin system, and the beam is fixed with the column through two steel bolts. Due to the large glass plate of the project, it is also necessary to focus on the fact that the upright column and the beam are fixed with aluminum alloy connectors at the side to prevent the beam from torsion chamfering. Note: The position of column and glass needs to be sealed with glue twice.

Epilogue
Heart of Huaxia is a collection of international master design teams and international advanced design concepts. FORCITIS team will bring the creativity of architects to the ground on the premise of following the balance between business and nature. Although the structure type of the project is complex and the facade involves many types, through the cooperation with many disciplines, the expected effect is finally presented, and the flying petals and mottled tree shadows are realized one by one, thus achieving the role of benchmarking the future science and technology city and enhancing the city image.
