Shijiazhuang Central Business District Exhibition Center covers an area of about 11 acres, with a building area of about 4,231㎡ and an overall height of about 16m. It is divided into two floors, which are mainly used for planning exhibition of Central Business District, cultural exhibition of urban origin and fashion release. As a gateway and landmark building built by Sunac China in Shijiazhuang Central Business District, the exhibition center integrates comprehensive functions such as cultural exhibition, office meeting, leisure negotiation and investment promotion service. It also implements the concept of green and low carbon, and becomes the first large-area facade system ultra-low energy consumption public building in Shijiazhuang.

Four concepts to create "Urban Living Room"

The door of the living room, a planning exhibition hall facing the public, is a representative gateway building and an urban living room in the central business district;

The core of nature: The architecture reserves room for green plants to grow, and the "City Garden" integrating architecture and site becomes the elegant protagonist on the stage;

The bridge of connection: The relationship with urban context is established in the form of roof slope and rotation angle. Bridge is both history and public place connecting the future;

A city of innovation: A modern exhibition hall integrating advanced technology. It is not only the context but also the public space for the future.

The indoor and outdoor space of the building is limited by light metal and transparent glass, creating a light and transparent visual image. The facade of the light modern facade and the mottled traces on the building walls around the site form an interesting dialogue between new and old, history and modernity.

Passive means to help reduce carbon emissions in buildings

The innovative design of architectural technology is a highlight of the project. The performance-based design method is adopted for the project, taking indoor environment and building energy consumption index as performance objectives, based on building energy efficiency simulation, sensitivity analysis of key parameters of building body and equipment system is carried out, and the scheme is gradually optimized, and finally the optimal performance parameters and technical measures are selected. The following key technologies are mainly included:

Good building air tightness, N50≤0.6h-1, avoid unnecessary ventilation heat loss caused by unexpected airflow infiltration, and avoid indoor local temperature drop and insufficient relative humidity caused by cold air infiltration, which affect indoor environmental quality and comfort.

Excellent non-transparent envelope structure, and the non-transparent envelope structure has the performances such as balanced thermal insulation, heat insulation, thermal inertia, vapor permeability and air tightness.

Provided with efficient external door and window system. Large-area passive facade is adopted in the building, and the installation nodes and construction technology are optimized pertinently, so that it meets the performance requirements of passive ultra-low energy consumption passive facade, such as air tightness grade 8 and comprehensive heat transfer coefficient not more than 1.0 W/(m2K).

Design concept of thermal-free bridge: The design concept of zero thermal bridge is adopted to the project, which eliminates all thermal bridges, reduces the heat loss of the outer envelope structure, solves the problem of condensation and mildew inside the structure, and greatly prolongs the service life of the building.

Ventilation system with efficient heat recovery device is provided. High-efficiency cold and heat sources and fresh air units with 75% total heat recovery efficiency are selected to greatly recover indoor cold and heat and save air conditioning energy consumption.

The building energy consumption level is far lower than that of conventional buildings through the integration of the above technologies. For the project, the high-energy-efficient buildings-passive low-energy building signs will be obtained in the future.

"Nature's core" increases carbon sink area

The design concept of "The Core of Nature" in the planning of the exhibition center is consistent with the concept of "Park-type CBD" in Shijiazhuang Central Business District, in which ecological value is implanted, and the building reserves room for nature to grow. The west side of the exhibition center is the leading landscape of the base, which is planned as theme places such as landscape buildings and roof gardens, and is an outdoor extension of the functions of indoor exhibition halls.

The "City Garden" integrating architecture and site becomes the elegant protagonist on the stage; The surrounding environment is naturally integrated into the building, blurring the inner and outer boundaries, reshaping the urban functional space and creating artistic and humanistic atmosphere while emphasizing the open space of public greening. And, the plant carbon sink is formed in the site, which plays a positive role in reducing the overall carbon emission of the building.

The whole exhibition center, with both magnificent generosity and scientific and technological highlights, serves as the window for Shijiazhuang Central Business District to display to the outside world. It is located on the origin of the city, connecting people with the city and nature, showing the development process of CBD and conveying the cultural charm and urban spirit of Shijiazhuang. Show the world the vision and boldness of vision of Shijiazhuang that is taking off, challenging yourself, facing the world and heading for the future.
