Project background
Shimao Shengang International Center is located in the core area of Dayun New Town, Longgang District, Shenzhen, covering an area of 321,900㎡ and a building area of 1,364,500㎡. A new landmark of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area will be built, thus becoming a large-scale urban development engine integrating Shengang International Convention and Exhibition Center, Shengang Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperation Center, Shengang International Performing Arts Center, high-end brand hotels, international famous schools, office, business, tourism, popular science exhibition and apartments.
As the commercial part of Shenzhen Shimao Shengang International Center, SCC mall is an "Open" commercial body connecting with Shenzhen Terrace, the first public space named after the city in Shenzhen. The brand-new urban space construction will create an urban leisure commercial center focusing on experiential scenes. Under the fast-paced working condition, SCC mall creates a slow living habitat through the integration of landscape and leisure, business and culture, and provides a spiritual absorbing place rich in culture and art for young people in the new era.

Design idea
Combined with the natural geomorphological features of Longgang, Shenzhen, SCC mall of Shengang International Center has formed the commercial space design concept of "turning the form of mountains and rivers into the soul of cities". In the future, the unique innovative scenes such as Panoramic Sky Ring, Super Bowl, Central Plaza, 3D Commercial Street, Dream Theatre and Book Complex will be used as carriers to enrich the experience of citizens and consumers.

Facade design
The technical team used parametric design method to build the 3D model of the facade in the detailed design stage of the facade in order to better control the curved surface effect, divide the facade plates efficiently, and accurately control the processing and positioning accuracy of the facade system.
Parametric facade is shaped by joints and flows on curved surface to form elegant and smart building facade effect. The fabrication, formation and installation of parametric components have become a major difficulty. By optimizing the parametric modeling module and unit shape, the processing and installation difficulty of parametric facade can be effectively controlled.
Parametric model
1. Air ring & Air pool
The main structure system is the long-span cantilever steel truss. The relatively light architectural effect and fitting transition are realized through the combination design of structure and facade system and the facade system with multi-directional adjustable angle. The change of air ring volume is controlled through the dynamic parameter model to ensure the visual effect while controlling the cost, and the integration of architecture and environment creates a park-like shopping space environment.

2. Fold line glass facade
For the glass facade at Fashion Avenue, the matching of the overall architectural modeling with the design language of mountain stream, the fitting optimization of architectural form and the combination of architectural functions have become one of the important and difficult points in design. A system in which the first layer of glass is supported each other by floor mounting and the second layer of glass is supported each other by hanging. Two layers of ultra clear laminated glass (which is lined with aluminum plate background wall), ultra clear double laminated double-glazed glass, and glass facade keel glass support each other. It highlights the theme of symbiosis between architecture and nature, and the integration of classical and contemporary, bringing a brand-new leisure shopping experience.
3、Super bowl
The shape of super bowl is irregular curved surface, and the overall facade needs to show dynamic pictures. SGP laminated glass is used as the panel, and the glass panel is supported at four points, which makes the overall facade extremely transparent. The indoor side is matched with LED curved screen, and the front screen is reserved.

4、Media facade wall at the main entrance
When night falls, the main entrance will become an arc-shaped luminous body echoing the city. More than 500㎡ of media facade shows dynamic and fashionable multimedia effect and creates colorful commercial atmosphere.
Screen 1 should be the high-definition screen (with a total area of 202㎡), and screens 2, 3, 4 should be the low-definition screen (with a total area of 332㎡).
5、Facade of Yuntai Pavilion
The cfacade of Yuntai Pavilion is a 15m-high single-span open area, with large vertical deformation of the top structure. Through the design of free-stand type facade structure and matched with enclosure by stainless steel plate, the entire components are blurred, and the facade form is flexibly designed in combination with the change of the overall indoor span.
6、Daylighting roof of main atrium
Dome: Combined with architectural modeling, triangular division is carried out, and combined with sunshade requirements, the glass panel and aluminum panel are matched with each other. The overall system is designed with the main steel structure, and adjustable angle sub-frame and steel support are used for three-dimensional adjustment.
The overall architectural shape is a beautiful streamline shape. However, the area where the flat plate is used and the area where the arc plate has become a key factor in the balance between cost and effect.
Modeling of hyperbolic aluminum panel with large area: How to optimize and divide control is another key element of cost control.
As a model of commercial flagship in Greater Bay Area, Shengang Podium Building is also a new attempt in the operation of the project. The scheme comparison of various facade systems has accumulated a lot of experience for us so that we can have more reference practices when constructing similar facade systems in the future. In the project, we apply the combination of BIM and facade design, and provide physical and chemical optimization or division suggestions on curved surfaces, which has great reference significance in cost control and optimization.
